The reader will notice the vowels have been removed from the name of our L-rd G-d. This may be the first time the reader has experienced the use of this format. This is done out of respect and reverence for His Holy Name. We also use, in many cases, the Jewish names for Bible characters and terminology rather than their English equivalants.

The names "Jesus" and "Christ" are not found in the Hebrews Scriptures. This is because both these names are English translations from the Greek. Neither do we find the names “Moses”, “Isaac”, or “Joshua” for these are the English translations from the Hebrew. Moses is “Moshe”, Isaac is “Yitszach”, and Joshua is “Yehoshua” or “Yeshua”. We do find the name “Christ” as well as the name “Jesus” in the Tanakh(Old Testament) in their written Hebrew forms.

In the days of His earthly life, no one ever spoke of Him as "Jesus", "Christ", "Jesus Christ" or "Christ Jesus". This, of course, is a translation.

Two hundred seventy five years before his birth, King Ptolemy Philadelphus summoned men from Israel and requested them to translate the Hebrew Scriptures into the Greek. When they came to the name "Joshua" they translated it as "Yesous" written with a circumflex over it to show there has been a suppression of a Hebrew letter that could not be expressed in Greek. When Joshua went into Canaan with the other 11 spies, he was called "Yehoshua" ("Jehovah is the Savior" or "Jehovah Saves"). That is exactly what the word "Jesus" means "Savior".

Isa 62:11 Behold, the L-RD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation (Yeshua) cometh; behold, His reward is with him, and his work before him. KJV

In the Tanakh(Old Testament) the word for "Christ" is "Meshiach" or "Messiah". This name means, "Anointed" or "anointed one." The Greek word "Christos" for Christ also means, "Anointed" or "anointed one".

Hab 3:13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation (Yeshua) of thy people, even for salvation (Yeshua) with thine anointed (Meshiach); thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah. KJV

The title "Yeshua haMeshiach" ("Jesus, the Christ") can be translated "Jehovah is the Anointed Saviour" or the "Anointed Savior is Jehovah"!
