Esther (Ester) Chapter 5

At the end of chapter 4 Ester called for the Jewish people to fast for 3 days.

Ester 5:1 Now it happened on the third day that Ester put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king's palace, across from the king's house, while the king sat on his royal throne in the royal house, facing the entrance of the house.

Now it came to pass on the third day…Ester presented herself before the king on the third day.

Will the believers in Yeshua, the true church/synagogue, present herself before the king of the universe during the third millennium?

Ester must prepare herself to go before the king. Likewise the believers in Yeshua, the true church/synagogue, must prepare herself before being presented before the king of the universe. It has been nearly 2,000 years since Yeshua left us and returned to heaven.

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the L-rd one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Ester’s put on her royal robes - This symbolizes “the church/synagogue”, the body of believers, being transformed at the rapture.

1 Corinthians 15:51-53 "Behold, I show you a mystery; We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Ester 5:2 So it was, when the king saw Queen Ester standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Ester the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Ester went near and touched the top of the scepter.

Ester first found favor with HaShem. Then she found favor with the king.

The golden scepter - In Hebrew “a scion, a rod, a staff”. It symbolized the power of the throne. Absolutely no one, except the king, was permitted to touch the scepter. His allowing Ester to touch the scepter was in effect telling her “what’s mine is yours”.

When we are presented to HaShem we will be clothed in Righteousness and will reign with Yeshua for a 1,000 years.

Rom 8:16-17 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of G-d, and if children, then heirs--heirs of G-d and joint heirs with Messiah, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

The Fifth letter is Hay - breath; Spirit of G-d. Five also stand for mercy/grace.

Ester 5:3 And the king said to her, "What do you wish, Queen Ester? What is your request? It will be given to you--up to half the kingdom!"

Up to half the kingdom - This is just an expression and not to be taken literally. However, Ester is off to a good start in her visit with the king. She is shown mercy from the King.

Ester 5:4-5 So Ester answered, "If it pleases the king, let the king and Haman come today to the banquet that I have prepared for him." Then the king said, "Bring Haman quickly, that he may do as Ester has said." So the king and Haman went to the banquet that Ester had prepared.

The king knows that there is something more on Ester’s mind than a dinner party. Ester would not have approached the king to invite him to a dinner party when the penalty for coming into the king’s presence uninvited was death. She is showing great restrain, not rushing in and blurting out her problem. She wants him to know that His needs are important to her too.

Ester 5:6 At the banquet of wine the king said to Ester, "What is your petition? It will be granted you. What is your request, up to half the kingdom? It will be done!"

Ester reminds me of the salesperson that takes her potential customer out for a game of golf and dinner afterward and NEVER once in the entire outing mentions the product for sale. The customer is having a great time and out of guilt decides to discuss business and buy the product.

Ester 5:7-8 Then Ester answered and said, "My petition and request is this: If I have found favor in the sight of the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and fulfill my request, then let the king and Haman come to the banquet which I will prepare for them, and tomorrow I will do as the king has said."

Still bidding her time…waiting for the leading of Ruach HaKodesh.

Ester 5:9 So Haman went out that day joyful and with a glad heart; but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king's gate, and that he did not stand or tremble before him, he was filled with indignation against Mordecai.

Ha Satan will possess the Anti-messiah, who Haman symbolizes. Ha Satan hates Yeshua. Just as Haman had to present himself before the king, Ha Satan has to present himself from time to time before the king of the universe.

Job 1:6 One day the angels came to present themselves before the L-RD, and Satan(adversary) also came with them.

Yeshua is seated at the right hand of the father, the king of the Universe. It must infuriate Ha Satan to see Him seated there and know that his plan to destroy Yeshua has failed.

Hebrews 8:1-2 … We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the L-rd erected, and not man.
