Sh'mot (Exodus) Chapter 29 (Continued)

Sh'mot 29:33-34 Thus they shall eat those things by which atonement was made at their ordination and consecration; but a layman shall not eat them, because they are holy. And if any of the flesh of ordination or any of the bread remains until morning, then you shall burn the remainder with fire; it shall not be eaten, because it is holy.

The laymen were not to eat of those things by which atonement was made. In contrast, all those that believe in the Messiah must partake of His flesh and of His blood "SPIRITUALLY", and then we are considered born again. We also partake of the wine, which is symbolic of His blood, and partake of the bread, which is symbolic of His body. We do that in remembrance of Him. When the lamb of G-d who takes away the sin of the world was offered so was a grain and drink offering offered.

1 Corinthians 11:23-28 the L-rd Yeshua in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, "This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me." In the same way He took the cup also, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me." For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the L-rd's death until He comes. Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the L-rd in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the L-rd. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.

Mattityahu (Matthew) 12:1-8 At that time Yeshua went on the Shabbat through the grainfields, and His disciples became hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to Him, "Look, Your disciples do what is not lawful to do on a Shabbat." But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did, when he became hungry, he and his companions; how he entered the house of G-d, and they ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those with him, but for the priests alone? "Or have you not read in the Torah, that on the Shabbat the priests in the temple break the Shabbat, and are innocent? "But I say to you, that something greater than the temple is here. "But if you had known what this means, 'I desire compassion, and not a sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the innocent. "For the Son of Man is L-rd of the Shabbat."

Hebrews 13:8-14 Yeshua HaMashiach is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas. Your SPIRITUAL strength comes as a gift from G-d, not from "CEREMONIAL" rules about eating certain foods-a method which, by the way, hasn't helped those who have tried it! We have an altar-the execution stake where Messiah was sacrificed-where those who continue to seek salvation by obeying Jewish laws can never be helped. Under the system of Jewish laws, the high priest brought the blood of the slain animals into the sanctuary as a sacrifice for sin, and then the bodies of the animals were burned outside the city. That is why Yeshua suffered and died outside the city, where his blood washed our sins away. So let us go out to him beyond the city walls [that is, outside the interests of this world, being willing to be despised] to suffer with him there, bearing his shame. For this world is not our home; we are looking forward to our everlasting home in heaven.

Sh'mot 29:35-37 "And thus you shall do to Aharon and to his sons, according to all that I have commanded you; you shall ordain them through "SEVEN" days. And each day you shall offer a bull as a sin offering for atonement, and you shall purify the altar when you make atonement for it; and you shall anoint it to consecrate it. For seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it; then the altar shall be most holy, and whatever touches the altar shall be holy.

Seven is the number of perfection. Yeshua will be an acceptable offering to the Father for our atonement for seven total millenniums. During the reign of the seventh millennium of Yeshua HaMashiach many will see Him ruling on earth and come to spiritually trust in Him for their atonement and some will see Him rule and still reject Him. After the thousand years is up then HaSatan will be loosed again for a short time and all that have rejected Him will stand before Him at the White Throne judgment and receive everlasting contempt.

Revelation 20:7-15 And when the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison, and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore. And they came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. And I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. And death and Seoul were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

2 Kefa (Peter) 3:8-13 But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the L-rd one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The L-rd is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. But the day of the L-rd will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and G-dliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of G-d, on account of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.

Sh'mot 29:38-46 "Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two one year old lambs each day, continuously. The one lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight; and there shall be one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of beaten oil, and one-fourth of a hin of wine for a libation with one lamb. And the other lamb you shall offer at twilight, and shall offer with it the same grain offering as the morning and the same libation, for a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the L-RD. It shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the doorway of the tent of meeting before the L-RD, where I will meet with you, to speak to you there. And I will meet there with the sons of Israel, and it shall be consecrated by "My GLORY". And I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar; I will also consecrate Aharon and his sons to minister as priests to Me. And I will dwell among the sons of Israel and will be their G-d. And they shall know that I am the L-RD their G-d who brought them out of the land of Egypt, that I might dwell among them; I am the L-RD their G-d.

In the future there was need for a change out of necessity.

Hebrews 7:11-17 Now if perfection was through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the people received the Law), what further need was there for another priest to arise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be designated according to the order of Aharon? For when the priesthood is changed, of necessity there takes place a change of Torah also. For the one concerning whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no one has officiated at the altar. For it is evident that our L-rd was descended from Y'hudah, a tribe with reference to which Moshe spoke nothing concerning priests. And this is clearer still, if another priest arises according to the likeness of Melchizedek, who has become such not on the basis of a Torah of physical requirement, but according to the power of an indestructible life. For it is witnessed of Him, "Thou art a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek."

Hebrews 12:24-26 and to Yeshua, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel. See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less shall we escape who turn away from Him who warns from heaven.

Consecrated by the GLORY OF THE SON.

2 Kefa (Peter) 1:16-19 For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our L-rd Yeshua HaMashiach, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For when He received honor and glory from G-d the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, "This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased"-- and we ourselves heard this utterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. And so we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.
