Yechezk'el (Ezekiel) Chapter 20

The corresponding letter to this chapter is Resh- wickedness; greatness and degradation.

Yechezk'el 20:1-3 Now it came about in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth of the month, that certain of the leaders of Israel came to inquire of the L-RD, and sat before me. And the word of the L-RD came to me saying, "Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and say to them, 'Thus says the L-rd G-D," Do you come to inquire of Me? As I live, "declares the L-rd G-D," I will not be inquired of by you."'

Why wouldn't the L-rd G-d listen to the leaders? There was no teshiva (repentance) and their hearts would not turn back to Him. Many can pray to HaShem. Many say G-d bless our country. What about repenting of certain things first and listening to what G-d has to say about it. Judgment one day will become ripe and He will not listen to what they have to say either.

Sadly many will not turn their hearts to Yeshua HaMashiach either or what he had to say. Many do not want to believe in B'rit Hadashah because they are stuck in the same rut and they refuse to come out it. They give the same old excuses while claiming to know the heart of Moshe.

You may search the scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life, it is these that testify about Yeshua; and you are unwilling to come to Yeshua so that you may have eternal life. Do you think that Yeshua will accuse you before the Father? The one who accuses you is Moshe, in whom you have set your hope. For if you believed Moshe you would believe Yeshua, for he wrote about Him. But if you do not believe his writings, how would you believe Yeshua's words?

Yechezk'el 20:4-9 "Will you judge them, will you judge them, son of man? Make them know the abominations of their fathers; and say to them,' Thus says the L-rd G-D, "On the day when I chose Israel and swore to the descendants of the house of Ya'akov and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, I am the L-RD your G-d, on that day I swore to them, to bring them out from the land of Egypt into a land that I had selected for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands. "And I said to them, 'Cast away, each of you, the detestable things of his eyes, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am the L-RD your G-d.' "But they rebelled against Me and were not willing to listen to Me; they did not cast away the detestable things of their eyes, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I resolved to pour out My wrath on them, to accomplish My anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt. "But I acted for the sake of My name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among whom they lived, in whose sight I made Myself known to them by bringing them out of the land of Egypt.

He acted for the sake of His name. What name offends many nations today and is despised. Yeshua, Jesus, is a rock of offense to many. To use the phrase, "IN YESHUA'S NAME" or "in Jesus name" after a prayer is an offense to the world. A world that does not know Him and does not trust in Him. It may be politically incorrect to not also pay honor and respect to other powers and gods and you will not be able to state the truth about such powers. You have every right to worship whom you want but don't expect me not to tell you the truth about such gods. In the end, they will lead you to destruction and misery. Like I mentioned before-HaShem does not care what the world or nations consider politically correct. He who is friends with the World makes himself an enemy of G-d. The Father exalts His Son's name above every other name. The glory of all lands is the milk of Israel literally but also what milk represents which is the word of G-d. What does it say? That we are all sinners. It is our schoolmaster to tell us we all have fallen short and we need a savior. The glory of all lands is the honey but also what this honey represents, which is Yeshua HaMashiach. His death was a sweet savior to the Father because of our sins. He was the lamb of G-d who takes away the sin of the world. We need to cling to him because He is our righteousness and satisfaction from the wrath of the Father. And because He listened to the Father and did what He asked willingly therefore the Father glorifies Him and also those that are humble enough to trust in Him. It does not matter what land you come from. HE is glorious to all lands.

Hebrews 1:1-5 G-d, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high; having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they. For to which of the angels did He ever say, "You are My Son, Today I have begotten Thee"?

Philippians 2:5-11 Yeshua HaMashiach: Who, being in the form of G-d, thought it not robbery to be equal with G-d: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the execution stake. Wherefore G-d also has highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Yeshua HaMashiach is L-rd, to the glory of G-d the Father.

Yeshua will come against all who try to make the Word of G-d void and do not trust what He said or trust in what Moshe said. Moshe wrote about Him and so did the prophets.

Yesha'yahu (Isaiah) 63:1-19 Who is this coming from Edom, from Botzrah, with his garments stained crimson? Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? "It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save." Why are your garments red, like those of one treading the winepress? "I have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with me. I trampled them in my anger and trod them down in my wrath; their blood spattered my garments, and I stained all my clothing. For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redemption has come. I looked, but there was no one to help, I was appalled that no one gave support; so my own arm worked salvation for me, and my own wrath sustained me. I trampled the nations in my anger; in my wrath I made them drunk and poured their blood on the ground." I will tell of the kindnesses of the L-RD, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the L-RD has done for us--yes, the many good things he has done for the house of Israel, according to his compassion and many kindnesses. He said, "Surely they are my people, sons who will not be false to me"; and so he became their Savior. In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old. Yet they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. So he turned and became their enemy and he himself fought against them. Then his people recalled the days of old, the days of Moshe and his people--where is he who brought them through the sea, with the shepherd of his flock? Where is he who set his Holy Spirit among them?, who sent his glorious arm of power to be at Moses' right hand?, who divided the waters before them, to gain for himself everlasting renown?, who led them through the depths? Like a horse in open country, they did not stumble; like cattle that go down to the plain, they were given rest by the Spirit of the L-RD. This is how you guided your people to make for yourself a glorious name. Look down from heaven and see from your lofty throne, holy and glorious. Where are your zeal and your might? Your tenderness and compassion are withheld from us. But you are our Father, though Abraham does not know us or Israel acknowledge us; you, O L-RD, are our Father, our Redeemer from of old is your name. Why, O L-RD, do you make us wander from your ways and harden our hearts so we do not revere you? Return for the sake of your servants, the tribes that are your inheritance. For a little while your people possessed your holy place, but now our enemies have trampled down your sanctuary. We are yours from of old; but you have not ruled over them, they have not been called by your name.

In the future, after the time of Ya'akov's trouble, His word will come to pass. Some will, however, not enter the Seventh Millennial kingdom of the Son. .

Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 33:14-19 ' Look, days are coming,' declares the L-RD,' when I will fulfill the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah. 'In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch of David to spring forth; and He shall execute justice and righteousness on the earth. In those days Y'hudah (Judah) shall be saved, and Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) shall dwell in safety; and this is the name by which she shall be called: the L-RD IS OUR righteousness.' "For thus says the L-RD, 'David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel; and the Levitical priests shall never lack a man before Me to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings, and to prepare sacrifices continually.' "

Yechezk'el 20:10-12 "So I took them out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness. "And I gave them My statutes and informed them of My ordinances, by which, if a man observes them, he will live. "And also I gave them My sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am the L-RD who sanctifies them.

The Sabbath was given to Israel. Yeshua is L-rd of the Sabbath and the rest His name provides through the will of the Father is available to all.

Yechezk'el 20:13-14 "But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes, and they rejected My ordinances, by which, if a man observes them, he will live; and My sabbaths they greatly profaned. Then I resolved to pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to annihilate them. "But I acted for the sake of My name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, before whose sight I had brought them out.

Again, He states He acted out of the sake of His name, His Word, and His reputation. We are in the same position when it comes to our eternal welfare. We fall short but the Father sent His Son and only His Sons namesake saves us. It is only by the mercy of HaShem that we pardoned through His Son for eternity.
