Yechezk'el (Ezekiel) Chapter 26

Yechezk'el 26:1-2 Now it came about in the eleventh year, on the first of the month, that the word of the L-RD came to me saying, "Son of man, because Tzor (Tyre) has said concerning Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), 'Aha, the gateway of the peoples is broken; it has opened to me. I shall be filled, now that she is laid waste,

Tzor was saying: "... now that Yerushalayim is ruined, her riches will be mine';

Genesis 12:3 I will bless those that bless you and curse those that curse you.

His promise is valid for or against any nation, including America. America's policies have pushed Israel to give away land that HaShem says belongs to them. We will be cursed for this and will continue to be cursed as long as these policies continue.

Israel cannot trust in anyone but HaShem who is concerned about them and His promise to Israel. He is the only one that can truly help Israel and He will eventually through His Son both spiritually and physically.

The gateway - this is a type of door.

The corresponding letter to this chapter is Dalet - door; way; dimension & concern.

Yechezk'el 26:3-6 therefore, thus says the L-rd G-D,' Look, I am against you, O Tzor (Tyre), and I will bring up many nations against you, as the sea brings up its waves. 'And they will destroy the walls of Tzor (Tyre) and break down her towers; and I will scrape her debris from her and make her a bare rock. 'She will be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea, for I have spoken,' declares the L-rd G-D,' and she will become spoil for the nations. 'Also her daughters who are on the mainland will be slain by the sword, and they will know that I am the L-RD.' "

Chapters 26-28 are a prophecy against the Phoenician city of Tzor (Tyre).

"Many nations" - Tzor (Tyre) was the commercial center of the Mediterranean. It was located on the coast of what is now modern day Lebanon. First the Babylonians attacked it. Many of the people were able to escape to an island off of the coast. It was this island that was attacked by the Greeks. The invasion of Alexander the Great occurred two hundred and twenty years later. Verse four states "bare rock". On the way to Persia, Alexander worried about the Phoenicians attacking him so He warned them to surrender. They laughed. He took stones and rubble from the costal city ruins and threw them into the sea building a causeway out to the city to defeat them. The chapter describes in great detail the destruction that would come against them. History confirms the amazing accuracy of this prophecy. The ancient city has been discovered. The modern city is miles to north of the original site. A causeway was discovered by fisherman putting out their nets and is still there today. He so brutalized Tzor (Tyre) that many places just opened their doors to Alexander to enter in. I guess they should have surrendered to him when he asked.

Don't wait to surrender to the King of the line of Y'hudah: Yeshua HaMashiach. Open the door of your heart willingly to Him today. This is what the Father desires today. Yeshua said, I stand at the door and knock; he who hears My voice and lets Me in I will come and sup with him and him with Me. Just ask the Father for forgiveness and trust in the blood of Yeshua to take away your sin and then surrender your life and ask Yeshua too come into your heart and life.
