The corresponding letter to this chapter is Vav- hook; redemption and transformation. Stands for man created on the sixth day, etc.
Yechezk'el 28:1-7 The word of the L-RD came again to me saying, "Son of man, say to the leader of Tzor (Tyre), 'Thus says the L-rd G-D, "Because your heart is lifted up and you have said, 'I am a god, I sit in the seat of gods, In the heart of the seas'; Yet you are a man and not G-d, Although you make your heart like the heart of G-d -- Look, you are wiser than Daniel; There is no secret that is a match for you. "By your wisdom and understanding you have acquired riches for yourself, and have acquired gold and silver for your treasuries. "By your great wisdom, by your trade you have increased your riches, And your heart is lifted up because of your riches -- Therefore, thus says the L-rd G-D, 'Because you have made your heart like the heart of G-d, Therefore, look, I will bring strangers upon you, the most ruthless of the nations. And they will draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom and defile your splendor.
The leader of Tzor (Tyre) was wise in his own eyes but it only brought destruction. We should also be careful when judging another believers path. We do not know what G-d is going to do in their life. G-d directs the steps of man. We can do nothing without Him.
1 Corinthians 3:18-23 Stop fooling yourselves. If you count yourself above average in intelligence, as judged by this world's standards, you had better put this all aside and be a fool rather than let it hold you back from the true wisdom from above. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to G-d. As it says in the book of Iyov (Job), G-d uses man's own brilliance to trap him; he stumbles over his own "wisdom" and falls. And again, in the book of Tehillim (Psalms), we are told that the L-rd knows full well how the human mind reasons and how foolish and futile it is. So don't be proud of following the wise men of this world. For G-d has already given you everything you need. ...He has given you the whole world to use, and life and even death are your servants. He has given you all of the present and all of the future. All are yours, and you belong to Messiah, and Messiah is G-d's.
Yechezk'el 28:8-10 'They will bring you down to the pit, and you will die the death of those who are slain in the heart of the seas. 'Will you still say, "I am a god," In the presence of your slayer, Although you are a man and not G-d, In the hands of those who wound you? 'You will die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers, for I have spoken!' declares the L-rd G-D! "'"
Judgment comes upon a man who is the prince of Tzor (Tyre). It states he actually sat in the heart of the sea's and considered himself a god. Here we see another type of anti-messiah. The anti-messiah will establish his own kingdom and do the same. Ha Satan is the power behind him.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-10 Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our L-rd Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ), and our gathering together to Him, that you may not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the L-rd has come. Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of G-d, displaying himself as being G-d. Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he may be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. And then that lawless one will be revealed whom the L-rd will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of HaSatan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.
HaSatan controls the rulers of many cities and countries. He tempts them with power and the riches of this world. He tried to do the same thing to Yeshua HaMashiach.
Luke 4:5-8 Then HaSatan took him up and revealed to him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time; and the devil told him, "I will give you all these splendid kingdoms and their glory-for they are mine to give to anyone I wish-if you will only get down on your knees and worship me." Yeshua replied, "We must worship G-d, and him alone. So it is written in the Scriptures."
Now the message changes and not only is directed to the prince of Tzor (Tyre) it also is directed to HaSatan who controls him. There are other instances that G-d speaks to HaSatan indirectly through another creature. In Eden, HaSatan possessed the serpent. G-d cursed the serpent and indirectly cursed HaSatan.
B'resheet (Genesis) 3:13-15 Then the L-RD G-d said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" And the woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate." And the L-RD G-d said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, cursed are you more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; on your belly shall you go, and dust shall you eat all the days of your life; and I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise Him on the heel."
His name means "accuser" or "slanderer". The following passage in Iyov (Job) shows an example of HaSatan doing this very thing.
Iyov (Job) 1:6-12 Now there was a day when the sons of G-d came to present themselves before the L-RD, and Satan also came among them. And the L-RD said to Satan, "From where do you come?" Then Satan answered the L-RD and said, "From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it." And the L-RD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing G-d and turning away from evil." Then Satan answered the L-RD, "Does Job fear G-d for nothing? "Hast Thou not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. "But put forth Thy hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse Thee to Thy face." Then the L-RD said to Satan, "Behold, all that he has is in your power, only do not put forth your hand on him." So Satan departed from the presence of the L-RD.
