B'resheet 23:12-15 And Avraham bowed before the people of the land. And he spoke to Ephron in the hearing of the people of the land, saying, "If you will only please listen to me; I will give the price of the field, accept it from me, that I may bury my dead there." Then Ephron answered Avraham, saying to him, "My lord, listen to me; a piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver, what is that between me and you? So bury your dead."
Avraham wanted to pay the price for the dead.
Yeshua paid the price through Judas for the dead too except in contrast it ended up going to strangers.
It is interesting for the most part Israel as a nation rejected Yeshua and His message. The message of Yeshua went to other nations and foreigners.
Matt 27:6-10 It is not lawful to put them into the temple treasury, since it is the price of blood." And they counseled together and with the money bought the Potter's Field as a burial place for STRANGERS. For this reason that field has been called the Field of Blood to this day. Then that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, saying, "And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of the one whose price had been set by the sons of Israel; and they gave them for the Potter's Field, as the L-rd directed me. "
B'resheet 23:16 And Avraham listened to Ephron; and Avraham weighed out for Ephron the silver which he had named in the hearing of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, commercial standard.
B'resheet 23:17-20 So Ephron's field, which was in Makhpelah, which faced Mamre, the field and cave which was in it, and all the trees which were in the field, that were within all the confines of its border, were deeded over to Avraham for a possession in the presence of the sons of Heth, before all who went in at the gate of his city. And after this, Avraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field at Makhpelah facing Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan. So the field, and the cave that is in it, were deeded over to Avraham for a burial site by the sons of Heth.
On a higher level, He paid the price for us all so that we could rise again to another land.
1 Cor 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) who is in you, whom you have from G-d, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a Price: therefore glorify G-d in your body.
