B'resheet (Genesis) Chapter 24 (Continued)

B'resheet 24:34-49 So he said, "I am Avraham's servant. And the L-RD has greatly blessed my master, so that he has become rich; and He has given him flocks and herds, and silver and gold, and servants and maids, and camels and donkeys. Now Sarah my master's wife bore a son to my master in her old age; and he has given him all that he has. And my master made me swear, saying, 'You shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I live; but you shall go to my father's house, and to my relatives, and take a wife for my son.' "And I said to my master, 'Suppose the woman does not follow me.' "And he said to me, 'The L-RD, before whom I have walked, will send His angel with you to make your journey successful, and you will take a wife for my son from my relatives, and from my father's house; then you will be free from my oath, when you come to my relatives; and if they do not give her to you, you will be free from my oath.' "So I came today to the spring, and said, 'O L-RD, the G-d of my master Avraham, if now You will make my journey on which I go successful; behold, I am standing by the spring, and may it be that the maiden who comes out to draw, and to whom I say, "Please let me drink a little water from your jar"; and she will say to me, "You drink, and I will draw for your camels also"; let her be the woman whom the L-RD has appointed for my master's son. ' "Before I had finished speaking in my heart, behold, Rivkah came out with her jar on her shoulder, and went down to the spring and drew; and I said to her, 'Please let me drink.' "And she quickly lowered her jar from her shoulder, and said, 'Drink, and I will water your camels also'; so I drank, and she watered the camels also. Then I asked her, and said, 'Whose daughter are you?' And she said, 'The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor's son, whom Milcah bore to him'; and I put the ring on her nose, and the bracelets on her wrists. And I bowed low and worshiped the L-RD, and blessed the L-RD, the God of my master Avraham, who had guided me in the right way to take the daughter of my master's kinsman for his son. So now if you are going to deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me; and if not, let me know, that I may turn to the right hand or the left."

The servant relates to them the purpose of this visit.

B'resheet 24:50-59 Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, "The matter comes from the L-RD; so we cannot speak to you bad or good. Behold, Rivkah is before you, take her and go, and let her be the wife of your master's son, as the L-RD has spoken." And it came about when Avraham's servant heard their words, that he bowed himself to the ground before the L-RD. And the servant brought out articles of silver and articles of gold, and garments, and gave them to Rivkah; he also gave precious things to her brother and to her mother. Then he and the men who were with him ate and drank and spent the night. When they arose in the morning, he said, "Send me away to my master." But her brother and her mother said, "Let the girl stay with us a few days, say ten; afterward she may go." And he said to them, "Do not delay me, since the L-RD has prospered my way. Send me away that I may go to my master." And they said, "We will call the girl and consult her wishes." Then they called Rivkah and said to her, "Will you go with this man?" And she said, "I will go." Thus they sent away their sister Rivkah and her nurse with Avraham's servant and his men.

Imagine how quickly Rivkah's life changed. She agreed to leave home immediately and not tarry for a few days. She left her homeland never to return. This reminds me of the future when we will are raptured, taken as the bride of Yeshua to be with him in heaven forever more. We too will be changed forever more.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.

1 Thessalonians 4:17-18 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the L-rd in the air, and thus we shall always be with the L-rd.

B'resheet 24:60 And they blessed Rivkah and said to her, "May you, our sister, Become thousands of ten thousands, and may your descendants possess The gate of those who hate them."

May Yeshua's future bride become thousands of thousands too.

Revelation 5:8-14 And when He had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, having each one a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy art Thou to take the book, and to break its seals; for You were slain, and did purchase for G-d with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. "And You has made them to be a kingdom and priests to our G-d; and they will reign upon the earth." And I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and THOUSANDS of THOUSANDS, saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing." And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, "To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever." And the four living creatures kept saying, "Amen." And the elders fell down and worshiped.

B'resheet 24:61 Then Rivkah arose with her maids, and they mounted the camels and followed the man. So the servant took Rivkah and departed.

This points us to the future and the future bride us who will return following Yeshua on horses:

Rev 19:11-16 And I saw heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True; and in righteousness He judges and wages war. And His eyes are a flame of fire, and upon His head are many diadems; and He has a name written upon Him which no one knows except Himself. And He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called The Word of G-d. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. And from His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may smite the nations; and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of G-d, the Almighty. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, "KING OF KINGS, AND L-RD OF LORDS."

B'resheet 24:62-64 Now Yitz'chak had come from going to Beer-lahai-roi; for he was living in the Negev. And Yitz'chak went out to meditate in the field toward evening; and he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, camels were coming. And Rivkah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Yitz'chak she dismounted from the camel. And she said to the servant, "Who is that man walking in the field to meet us?" And the servant said, "He is my master." Then she took her veil and covered herself.

A betrothed woman remained veiled until after the wedding took place.

B'resheet 24:66-67 And the servant told Yitz'chak all the things that he had done. Then Yitz'chak brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and he took Rivkah, and she became his wife; and he loved her; thus Yitz'chak was comforted after his mother's death.

It is interesting that Yitz'chak after being asked to be a sacrifice by the Father rises again to receive his bride. Who does this give us a picture of?

Look, lift up your eyes in the field like Rivkah to your future husband and master Yeshua HaMashiach:

John 4:21-26 Yeshua said to her, "Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, shall you worship the Father. "You worship that which you do not know; we worship that which we know, for salvation is from the Jews. "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. "G-d is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." The woman said to Him, "I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us." Yeshua said to her, "I who speak to you am He."

John 4:35-42 "Do you not say, 'There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest'? Look, I say to you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest. "Already he who reaps is receiving wages, and is gathering fruit for life eternal; that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. "For in this case the saying is true, 'One sows, and another reaps.' "I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labor." And from that city many of the Samaritans believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, "He told me all the things that I have done." So when the Samaritans came to Him, they were asking Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days. And many more believed because of His word; and they were saying to the woman, "It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this One is indeed the Savior of the world."
