B'resheet (Genesis) Chapter 45

B'resheet 45:1-2 Then Yosef could not control himself before all those who stood by him, and he cried, "Have everyone go out from me." So there was no man with him when Yosef made himself known to his brothers. And he wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard it, and the household of Pharaoh heard of it.

All those who stood by him - This is referring to Yosef's attendants.

Notice it says the household of Pharaoh heard it. In contrast, when Yeshua reveals Himself in the future to the "HOUSE OF DAVID" they will see Him and mourn.

Z'kharyah (Zechariah) 12:10-14 "And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, the Spirit of grace/mercy and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him, like the bitter weeping over a first-born. "In that day there will be great mourning in Yerushalayim, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the plain of Megiddo. "And the land will mourn, every family by itself; the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the Shimeites by itself, and their wives by themselves; all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves.

B'resheet 45:3-4 Then Yosef said to his brothers, "I am Yosef! Is my father still alive?" But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed at his presence. Then Yosef said to his brothers, "Please come closer to me." And they came closer. And he said, "I am your brother Yosef, whom you sold into Egypt.

Dismayed at his presence - They were dumbfounded at seeing him. They probably found it hard to believe even though they saw him face to face. Can you imagine the shock this was for his brothers? Their hearts must have skipped a beat. They probably were terrified that Yosef would want revenge. After all he had been giving them a hard time so far.

Yosef finally reveals himself to his brothers - Israel.

Yeshua will finally do the same. All of Israel will finally know him and see him face to face.

The corresponding letter to this chapter is Aleph -head, as in Creator, KING, the head of a bull appointed for sacrifice, etc.

B'resheet 45:5 And now do not be grieved or angry with yourselves, because you sold me here; for G-d sent me before you to preserve life.

Yosef tells them not to be grieved or angry with themselves. Yeshua will probably state the same thing when He returns and Israel mourns. Do not be grieved that your leaders have betrayed me for the Father sent me to preserve eternal life, which was and is available to all.

2 Peter 3:9-10 The L-rd is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

B'resheet 45:6-7 For the famine has been in the land these two years, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. And G-d sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to keep you alive by a great deliverance.

G-d seems to always deal in remnants. It will be no different in the future.

Romans 9:27-29 Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel: "Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, The remnant will be saved. For He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness, Because the L-RD will make a short work upon the earth." And as Isaiah said before: "Unless the L-RD of Sabbath had left us a seed, We would have become like Sodom, and we would have been made like Gomorrah." NKJV

B'resheet 45:8 Now, therefore, it was not you who sent me here, but G-d; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his household and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

He made Yosef a father to Pharaoh and his household and ruler over all the land of Egypt. Yeshua is made a father to all nations and in contrast will be ruler in the land of Israel and will rule over all nations.(See also Isa. 33:20-22;56:3-8;66:18-21;23)

Mikah (Micah) 4:1-4 and it will come about in the last days that the mountain of the house of the L-RD will be established as the chief of the mountains. It will be raised above the hills, and the peoples will stream to it. And many nations will come and say, "Come and let us go up to the mountain of the L-RD And to the house of the G-d of Ya'akov, That He may teach us about His ways And that we may walk in His paths. "For from Zion will go forth the law, even the word of the L-RD from Yerushalayim. And He will judge between many peoples and render decisions for mighty, distant nations. Then they will hammer their swords into plowshares And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation will not lift up sword against nation, and never again will they train for war. And each of them will sit under his vine and under his fig tree, with no one to make them afraid,

Some of Psalm 72 below is, of course, speaking of Solomon and fulfilled through Solomon; however, some of it is also Messianic and a future fulfillment that will be realized in Yeshua through the Davidic promise. Solomon's reign will pale in comparison to His. Others nations did come to see Solomon because of his reputation, fame, and wealth. It was heard throughout the world. He was indeed another "type" that points us to the "real deal." Solomon did not rule over all nations as the future Davidic line will rule. It will spread further and it will last longer. Will the future ruler be all peace and mercy? No. First we will see justice come to this world by His wrath just like it did in the past. David paved the way to peace. Another "type" that will points us to the real deal. Yeshua will also have to bring down the nations that want nothing to do with His rule. (Ps. 2:1-9;Ps 110;1-7;Zech 8:1-3;Joel 3:17-21)

Tehillim (Psalms) 72 Give the king Thy judgments, O G-d, And Thy righteousness to the king's son. May he judge Thy people with righteousness, And Thine afflicted with justice. Let the mountains bring peace to the people, And the hills in righteousness. May he vindicate the afflicted of the people, Save the children of the needy, And crush the oppressor. Let them fear Thee while the sun endures, And as long as the moon, throughout all generations. May he come down like rain upon the mown grass, Like showers that water the earth. In his days may the righteous flourish, And abundance of peace till the moon is no more. May he also rule from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth. Let the nomads of the desert bow before him; And his enemies lick the dust. Let the kings of Tarshish and of the islands bring presents; The kings of Sheba and Seba offer gifts. And let all kings bow down before him, All NATIONS serve him. For he will deliver the needy when he cries for help, The afflicted also, and him who has no helper. He will have compassion on the poor and needy, And the lives of the needy he will save. He will rescue their life from oppression and violence; And their blood will be precious in his sight; So may he live; and may the gold of Sheba be given to him; And let them pray for him continually; Let them bless him all day long. May there be abundance of grain in the earth on top of the mountains; Its fruit will wave like the cedars of Lebanon; And may those from the city flourish like vegetation of the earth. May his name endure forever; May his name increase as long as the sun shines; And let men bless themselves by him; Let all nations call him blessed. Blessed be the L-RD G-d, the G-d of Israel, Who alone works wonders. And blessed be His glorious name forever; And may the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen, and Amen. The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.

This world for the most part wants nothing to do with the true Messiah. Like I said before the "type" does not have to be exactly like the real deal in every specific way. David was not permitted to build the temple because of bloody hands; however, Yeshua Ben David alias Yeshua Ben Yosef will be the builder of a future temple after He fulfills what His Word states He would do. One can see this in our Revelation and Zechariah studies. It also reveals that that part of the sun and moon will be affected which should be a sign to Israel for HaShem stated that His promises last as long as the sun and the moon shine. (See also Jer. 33:19-26)

B'resheet 45:9-13 Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, 'Thus says your son Yosef," G-d has made me lord of all Egypt; come down to me, do not delay. And you shall live in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children's children and your flocks and your herds and all that you have. There I will also provide for you, for there are still five years of famine to come, lest you and your household and all that you have be impoverished."' "And look, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see, that it is my mouth which is speaking to you. Now you must tell my father of all my splendor in Egypt, and all that you have seen; and you must hurry and bring my father down here."

Yosef acknowledges that G-d put him in his position of power not pharaoh.
