B'resheet 48:1-4 Now it came about after these things that Yosef was told, "Look, your father is sick." So he took his two sons M'nasheh and Efrayim with him. When it was told to Ya'akov, "Look, your son Yosef has come to you," Israel collected his strength and sat up in the bed. Then Ya'akov said to Yosef, "El Shaddai (G-d Almighty) appeared to me at Luz in the land of Kena'an and blessed me, and He said to me,' Look, I will make you fruitful and numerous, and I will make you a company of peoples, and will give this land to your descendants after you for an everlasting possession.'
An everlasting possession - Today there are many who do not believe that the land belongs to Israel. They want to give away parts of it or destroy it altogether. This is not a part of G-d's plan. Any nation or person who promotes a compromise on the land clearly given to Israel by G-d puts themselves in a position to be cursed by G-d. This is not a place where I would want to be.
B'resheet (Genesis) 12:2-3 And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."
El Shaddai (G-d Almighty) appeared to me at Luz. - Luz is also known as Bethel
We have an important point to review here. Ya'akov refers to him as El Shaddai, in chapter 31 he was referred to as "the Angel of G-d" and "the G-d of Bethel".
B'resheet 31:11-13 Then the angel of G-d said to me in the dream, 'Ya'akov,' and I said, 'Here I am.' "And he said, 'Lift up, now, your eyes and see that all the male goats which are mating are striped, speckled, and mottled; for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to you. I am the G-d of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar, where you made a vow to Me; now arise, leave this land, and return to the land of your birth.'
This was the Angel of the L-rd. Remember? Who is the Angel of the L-rd? Surely you know. (See also B'resheet (Genesis) 48:16)
The corresponding letter to this chapter is Dalet - door; way; dimensions and concern.
Yeshua who was and is the Angel of the L-rd is the only door or way to the other world.
John 10:7-9 Yeshua therefore said to them again, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. "All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. "I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
John 14:6 Yeshua said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life no one comes to the Father except through me."
This same Angel of the L-rd stands at the door and knocks. Those who open the door, He will come into them and dine with them. All we have to do is open the door of our hearts to Him and He will come into our hearts at our invitation. (Rev. 3:20)
He states this was and is G-d Almighty! (El Shaddai) All Sufficient -from the Hebrew word for a mother's breast. (shad)
We also know it is none other than Yeshua showing up again. Later Samson's parents will see the Angel of the L-rd (Yeshua) face to face and still live. (See Shof'tim (Judges) chapter 13)
