B'resheet 5:1-2 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day when G-d created man, He made him in the likeness of G-d. He created them male and female, and He BLESSED them and named them Adam in the day when they were created.
Five is the number of Mercy/Grace and the Spirit of G-d. We should always open to the Spirit and what the Spirit wants us to do each day.
As we read through the list of names in this chapter we see that 8 individuals are listed as having died. Each of those individuals' names is mentioned five times. Interesting!?
male and female - Only male and female are capable of reproducing. To push alternative lifestyles
Is one way to control the population and is probably the agenda. Forcing the acceptance of this lifestyle has nothing to do with caring about others. Children are a blessing from Him. Telling the truth about sin if done in the right spirit is caring about others whether they like it or not. Truth is starting to become something called bigotry. In truth, the true bigotry is against the Bible or those that believe in the literal interpretation of the Bible. I would use their tactics and call it Biblophobia or you might even say phobia of people who believe in what the Bible states. Hypocrisy abounds in a society for the most part that wants nothing to do with the true G-d or His Word. He cannot continue to bless this country if we are not blessable. If we continue to dishonor G-d and we have laws that force others to condone such actions that are contrary to what the Word clearly states. We cannot expect to be a country that is be blessed by HaShem were you are punished for telling the truth. What will we be forced to accept next? Maybe pedophilia?
G-d loves us but hates the sin in our life. Adonai does not care what man's idea of right or wrong are. If there is no right or wrong or if you call what is wrong right there will be consequences. It makes no difference whether you believe it or not. A Father instructs a child to protect that child. If your actions cannot be wrong there would also be no need to repent or have any need for a savior. Alternative lifestyles are placing that other person or sex with that other person first in your life above G-d and his will and protection for you. IF you are not a believer that is one thing, but for a believer to continue in such sinful behavior they not only hurt themselves they hurt G-d. They have lost their first love.
They are finding ways for those living in this sin to have children. There are grave consequences for leading little ones astray.
Matt 18:5-7 "And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. "Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come! NIV
One day it will get so bad it will be a blessing not to have children. When you cannot teach your children what the Word says is right. Can that day be far off?
Scriptures against alternative lifestyles are Gen. 19:5; 1 Cor 6:9-10; Rom. 1; 1 Timothy 1:8-11 and the book of Jude.
Yeshua did not come for the righteous but the sinner to repentance. Repentance means to turn away from your sin. IF you don't know you are living in sin it would be hard to turn away from it ... scripture states:
"And such were some of you; but you were washed [cleansed from sin, implying repentance], but you were sanctified [set apart unto G-d to reject the former sinful lifestyle]..." 1 Corinthians 6:11
It goes on to state:
1 Cor 6:18-20 Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy SPIRIT) who is in you, whom you have from G-d, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify G-d in your body. NAS
Does this mean believers are perfect now? - No - but we are to be set apart and our ultimate goal is perfection. Who was perfection?
We are to flee habitual sin and to continue to grow in the Messiah. We still make mistakes. - Yes! It is also not something we can conqueror on our own. WE are to continue to be "Messiah- like". He is perfection and our example to follow. By ourselves we can do nothing.
Zechariah 4:6 "... 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the L-RD of hosts."
We are to surrender ourselves to G-d through the power of the Spirit. Allow His Spirit to work through you and conquer the sin in your life. Trust in His power to overcome. He also said He would provide a way of escape from all idolatry.
1 Cor 10:1-13 For I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea; and all ate the same spiritual food; and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ.(Messiah) Nevertheless, with most of them G-d was not well-pleased; for they were laid low in the wilderness. Now these things happened as examples for us, that we should not crave evil things, as they also craved. And do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, " The people sat down to eat and drink, and stood up to play." Nor let us act immorally, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day. Nor let us try the L-rd, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the serpents. Nor grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer. Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and G-d is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it. NAS
B'resheet 5:3 When Adam had lived one hundred and thirty years; he became the father of a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and named him Shet (Seth).
In his own likeness -Here we see the Word of G-d one again refuting evolution. In verses 1 and 2 we learned that G-d created Man in His image. Notice here we see that Adam's son was made after ADAM'S image. They did not evolve into different creatures. This is carried down from generation to generation.
What had become different about Adam's children then when Adam was born? It is something we can tell by all our children when they are born and we bring them up.
Why was his son and the continuing generations created in Adam's image? Why were we no longer created in G-d's image?
Something changed. After Adam we were all born into sin universally. G-d told Adam that if he ate of the fruit he would surely die. This was no lie. Adam died spiritually that day. All offspring after that was born spiritually dead like Adam. This is carried down from generation to generation.
Eph 2:4-7 But G-d, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were DEAD in our transgressions, made us alive together with Messiah (by mercy you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Messiah Yeshua, NAS
If you do not personally know that you were born spiritually dead there would be no reason for us to trust in His death for our sake. We all universally must come to the realization at some point in our lives that we are personally dead spiritually. We must understand this in order to become alive again. How? Only through the Messiah Yeshua. If it was something we could accomplish on our own there would have been no need for the Messiah to die for us. It would have been foolish of HaShem to send His Son to die if there was any other way. ONLY Yeshua HaMashiach could undo what was done and only He can offer what we in need in order to restore this problem. We all have to become spiritually born again or the literal translation born "from above". What does this mean? (See John 3)
B'resheet 5:4-5 Then the days of Adam after he became the father of Shet (Seth) were eight hundred years, and he had other sons and daughters. So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.
As we read these verses we see that the people from Adam to Noach (Noah) lived hundreds of years prior to the flood. This was due to the canopy of water that surrounded the earth before the flood and created a green house effect. The temperatures were mild year round. The canopy would also have blocked out harmful ultraviolet rays. Another factor, there would not have been as many diseases.
B'resheet 5:6-8 And Shet (Seth) lived one hundred and five years, and became the father of Enosh. Then Shet (Seth) lived eight hundred and seven years after he became the father of Enosh, and he had other sons and daughters. So all the days of Shet (Seth) were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.
