Hebrews Chapter 2

Let us not drift away from declaring about our salvation and the reason for it.

At some time in the future the Temple sacrifices will resume. Why?

Many Jewish people have not accepted Yeshua as their L-rd and Savior.

We as believers are warned not to slip back trusting in these sacrifices for our sin. This would be a slap in the face of Yeshua HaMashiach.

Heb 2:1-2 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

We are to give the more earnest heed to the things, which we have heard. (good tidings of salvation through the blood of Yeshua only.)

Heb 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the L-rd, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

How can we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation?

Heb 2:4-7 G-d also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit), according to His own will? For unto the angels hath He not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honor, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

Ps 8:4-9 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. O L-RD our L-rd, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

We should not forget Yeshua is worthy of our worship.

Heb 2:8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under His feet. For in that He put all in subjection under Him, He left nothing that is not put under Him. But now we see not yet all things put under Him.

Everything is in subjection under His feet - that is Yeshua’s feet. We will all one-day answer to Him for all we say and do. If we neglect to declare it we will not escape correct judgment in our lack of acknowledging such great news. Some do not acknowledge Him for fear of being persecuted by friends or neighbors. Others do not want to suffer for His sake. Some would rather boast in the flesh. (See Gal. 5:22 - 6:14)

If we suffer with Him, we will be glorified with Him.

Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of G-d, and joint-heirs with Meshiach (Christ); if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Why would we want to hide what set us free and what can set others free?

Many saw the work of Ruach Hakodesh (the Holy Spirit) in His life. Even though there was the raising of Lazarus from the dead some still did not believe.

Father Abraham told the rich man in:

Luke 16:31 And He said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

He was made lower than the angels for a time but since He humbled Himself, He is also exalted. Yeshua name is above all other names. Angels are now subject to Him including Michael. He was our forerunner who went ahead of us whom Moshe talked about. (Deut. 18:15)

John 6:31-36 our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. Then Yeshua said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moshe gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of G-d is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, L-rd, evermore give us this bread. And Yeshua said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Moshe who represented the law was not allowed in the land of Canaan. What is even more interesting is that Joshua was allowed to go before us into the land. This is interesting when you consider that the law does not bring us into the true Promised Land. Yeshua (Joshua) also went before us and was our first fruit.

Heb2:9 But we see Yeshua, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of G-d should taste death for every man.

We are also humble ourselves to His will and be His servant allowing the work of the spirit to work through us unto sanctification. We are to be in submission like He was to authority. We submit to Him to be glorified later. We become the children of G-d.

Romans 8:16 Ruach (The Spirit) itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of G-d:

Heb2:10 For it became Him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

In like manner if one becomes as a child and humbles himself and trusts in His finished work we will be justified. We will be also sanctified and glorified.

Romans 8:30 Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified.

We will also judge angels.

1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Heb2:11-12 For both He that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.

Psalms 22:22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

Heb2:13 And again, I will put my trust in Him. And again, Behold I and the children which G-d hath given me.

Isaiah 8:18 Behold, I and the children whom the L-RD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the L-RD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

Messiah was chosen to come through the Jewish people.

Heb2:14-17Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy Him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily He took not on Him the nature of angels; but He took on Him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behooved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to G-d, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Yeshua satisfied the wrath of G-d with His blood. Only the righteousness of G-d could be righteous enough to stop the wrath of G-d against us for the sin of Adam. He became the second Adam.

Heb 2:18 For in that He himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to aid them that are tempted.

He understands our lot because He once had the same kind of temptations and sufferings we have had. Yet He is without sin and suffered to the point of sweating blood. Have we reached this point?

The blood of Messiah can make atonement for your sin. You can be forgiven -and KNOW it. How? The Tanakh tells us:

Romans 10:13 "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the L-rd shall be delivered (saved)

Why not pray this prayer from your heart and find that sweet assurance of forgiveness and mercy that has been there all the while for the asking.

Pray:

Dear Father. I now admit that I am a sinner in need of your Son’s cleansing, saving blood. I realize now that your Son was the perfect blood atonement, and that He gave up His life freely for me. I believe He was G-d in the flesh.

Come into my heart and life, L-rd Messiah, And Save me and keep me

Thank you; for I believe that You have done this, as YOU Said YOU would, in the name of Messiah, Amen.

Are you now forgiven? G-d says an emphatic "Yes!" (Joel 3:5, Daniel 12:2 & Num. 23:19)

If you have prayed the above prayer with a sincere heart, you can now right fully claim Yeshua Ha Mashiach as your very own Savior!
