Hebrews Chapter 3

Hebrews 3:1-5 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Mashiach Yeshua (Christ Jesus); Who was faithful to Him that appointed Him, as also Moshe (Moses) was faithful in all his house. For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moshe (Moses), inasmuch as He who hath builded the house hath more honor than the house. For every house is builded by some man; but He that built all things is G-d. And Moshe (Moses) verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;

Was Yeshua an apostle? An Apostle came from G-d like a prophet. He was a messenger.

Yeshua is our High Priest. He was G-d’s unique Son. He was also G-d for He forgave sins. He makes intercession for our sins. (Our advocate.)

Moshe was faithful IN G-d’s house. Yeshua built the house.

Is it Moshe’s house? No. Moshe was a servant of G-d. Yeshua is G-d.

Moshe gave laws of “conduct.” Yeshua gave laws of “character”. (Matt. 5:13)

Hebrews 3:6 But Mashiach (Christ) as a son over His own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

Yeshua built the house. He deserves more glory than Moshe because He is the builder.

Let us rejoice in who brought this redemption. Yeshua. He released us from the power of spiritual death from G-d forever. Our redemption is built on Him and what He did. He is the builder of our salvation.

Our body is a temple and this temple was created through Him and for Him to be used for His glory.

Colossians 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

1 Peter 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of G-d; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which G-d giveth: that G-d in all things may be glorified through Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ), to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

He continues to build in our house. We are G-d’s House!

He will also be builder of the Millennial Temple and will be Master of this house.

Rejoice in Him! Hold onto this hope to the end!

Hebrews 3:7-11 Wherefore (as Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) says, Today if you will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

Psalms 95:7-11 For He is our G-d; and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. To day if ye will hear His voice, Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

This is the second warning against doubting His word.

Don’t fail to commit yourself to Him. Do we glory in the law or in Him?

Is Yeshua the living Torah?

If He is…He is also the B’rit Hadashah. This states as believers we are now married to Him and follow Him. We are His bride. The goal of the Torah was to point to Yeshua HaMashiach.

Hebrews 3:12-18 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living G-d. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Mashiach, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; While it is said, To day if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. But with whom was He grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness? And to whom sware He that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?

Beware of unbelief.

Hebrews 3:19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

Many did not enter His rest because of unbelief. Song of Moshe is a testimony of this. (Deut. 32:1-43)

Rejoice in Him!
