1 John 3:17-24 But whoever has the world's goods, and beholds his brother in NEED and closes his heart against him, how does the love of G-d abide in him? Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth. We shall know by this that we are of the truth, and shall assure our heart before Him, in whatever our heart condemns us; for G-d is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before G-d; and whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight. And THIS IS HIS commandment, that WE BELIEVE IN THE NAME of His Son Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ), AND LOVE one another, just as He commanded us. And the one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And we know by this that He abides in us, by the SPIRIT whom He has given us. (NAS)
If we see a brother in spiritual need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of Adonai abide in him? This spiritual need can only be fulfilled by believing in His (Yeshua’s) name. If we explain to others how to fulfill the need we are showing our love to the Father and to others. Continue in this love and continue to love others. If we don’t do this, how does the love of Adonai abide in him?
Luke 24:44-53 Now He said to them, "These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled." Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and He said to them, "Thus it is written, that the (Messiah) Christ should suffer and rise again from the dead the third day; and that repentance for forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in HIS NAME to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. "You are witnesses of these things. "And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high." And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. And it came about that while He was blessing them, He parted from them. And they returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple, praising G-d. (NAS)
He opened their minds to see how the Scriptures, the Law of Moses, the prophets, and the Psalms where all about Him and pointed to Him.
Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance." (NAS)
Rom 2:4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of G-d leads you to repentance? (NAS)
Heb 10:19-25 Since therefore, brothers, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Yeshua (Jesus), by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of G-d, (above) let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who PROMISED is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.
