The corresponding letter to this chapter is Hay – breath; Spirit of G-d.
Shof’tim 5:1-5 Then D’vorah and Barak the son of Avino’am sang on that day, saying, "That the leaders led in Israel, That the people volunteered, Bless the L-RD! " Hear, O kings; give ear, O rulers! I-- to the L-RD, I will sing, I will sing praise to the L-RD, the G-d of Israel. "L-RD, when you did go out from Seir, When You did march from the field of Edom, The earth quaked, the heavens also dripped, Even the clouds dripped water. "The mountains quaked at the presence of the L-RD, This Sinai, at the presence of the L-RD, the G-d of Israel.
D’vorah sang and praised G-d after the victory. Miryam sang too and praised G-d when she was pregnant with Yeshua.
Luke 1:46-55 And Miryam said: "My soul exalts the L-rd, and my spirit has rejoiced in G-d my Savior. "For He has had regard for the humble state of His bond slave; for behold, from this time on all generations will count me blessed. "For the Mighty One has done great things for me; and holy is His name. "And His mercy is upon generation after generation toward those who fear Him. "He has done mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who were proud in the thoughts of their heart. "He has brought down rulers from their thrones, and has exalted those who were humble. "He has filled the hungry with good things; and sent away the rich empty-handed. "He has given help to Israel His servant, In remembrance of His mercy, As He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and his offspring forever. "
After victory it is indeed good to praise G-d! G-d will march again in the future. Yeshua will return and stand on the Mount of Olives causing a great earthquake. He will be praised!
Z’kharyah (Zechariah) 14:4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Yerushalayim on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.
Revelation 15:3-4 and sang the song of Moshe the servant of G-d and the song of the Lamb: "Great and marvelous are your deeds, L-rd G-d Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the ages. Who will not fear you, O L-rd, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed."
Back to the song here:
Shof’tim 5:6-11 "In the days of Shamgar the son of Anat, In the days of Ya’el, the highways were deserted, And travelers went by roundabout ways. "The peasantry ceased, they ceased in Israel, Until I, D’vorah, arose, Until I arose, a mother in Israel. " New G-ds were chosen; Then war was in the gates. Not a shield or a spear was seen Among forty thousand in Israel. " My heart goes out to the commanders of Israel, The volunteers among the people; Bless the L-RD! " You who ride on white donkeys, You who sit on rich carpets, And you who travel on the road-- sing! "At the sound of those who divide flocks among the watering places, There they shall recount the righteous deeds of the L-RD, The righteous deeds for His peasantry in Israel. Then the people of the L-RD went down to the gates.
A white donkey was rare and therefore a prize, owned by kings and the rich.
Shof’tim 5:12-14 "Awake, awake, D’vorah; Awake, awake, sing a song! Arise, Barak, and take away your captives, O son of Avino’am. "Then survivors came down to the nobles; The people of the L-RD came down to me as warriors. "From Efrayim those whose root is in Amalek came down,
Efrayim took the central hill area of the Amalekites.
Shof’tim 5:14-18 Following you, Binyamin, with your peoples; From Machir commanders came down, And from Z’vulun those who wield the staff of office. "And the princes of Yissakhar were with D’vorah; As was Yissakhar, so was Barak; Into the valley they rushed at his heels; Among the divisions of Re’uven There were great resolves of heart. " Why did you sit among the sheepfolds, to hear the piping for the flocks? Among the divisions of Re’uven There were great searchings of heart. " Gilead remained across the Yarden; And why did Dan stay in ships? Asher sat at the seashore, And remained by its landings. " Z’vulun was a people who despised their lives even to death, And Naftali also, on the high places of the field.
Dan would migrate to the Sea of Galilee and also do commerce with Phoenicians of the NorthWest in ships.
Shof’tim 5:19-23 "The kings came and fought ;Then fought the kings of Kena’an At Ta’anakh near the waters of Megiddo; They took no plunder in silver. "The stars fought from heaven, from their courses they fought against Sisra. "The torrent of Kishon swept them away, The ancient torrent, the torrent Kishon. O my soul, march on with strength. "Then the horses' hoofs beat from the dashing, the dashing of his valiant steeds. ' Curse Meroz,' said the angel of the L-RD,' Utterly curse its inhabitants; Because they did not come to the help of the L-RD, To the help of the L-RD against the warriors.'
G-d used the heavens to help Israel. He used the sky to send floods. He also hid the stars in the clouds of the sky.
Shof’tim 5:24-27 "Most blessed of women is Ya’el, The wife of Hever the Kenite; most blessed is she of women in the tent. " He asked for water and she gave him milk; in a magnificent bowl she brought him curds. " She reached out her hand for the tent peg, and her right hand for the workmen's hammer. Then she struck Sisra, she smashed his head; And she shattered and pierced his temple. "Between her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay; between her feet he bowed, he fell; Where he bowed, there he fell dead.
Even though Ya’el promised him protection and she breached this promise. It was dishonorable but was for a higher purpose and was over ruled by G-d as honorable by His providence. Sisra was betrayed like Yeshua after His last meal. She is blessed because of it. Judas is cursed because of it.
Mattityahu 26:24-29 "The Son of Man is to go, just as it is written of Him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born." And Judas, who was betraying Him, answered and said, "Surely it is not I, Rabbi?" He said to him, "You have said it yourself." And while they were eating, Yeshua took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is My body." And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. "But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom."
Back to Sisra’s mother:
Shof’tim 5:28-31 "Out of the window she looked and lamented, The mother of Sisra through the lattice, 'Why does his chariot delay in coming? Why do the hoofbeats of his chariots tarry?' " Her wise princesses would answer her, Indeed she repeats her words to herself, 'Are they not finding, are they not dividing the spoil? A maiden, two maidens for every warrior; To Sisera a spoil of dyed work, A spoil of dyed work embroidered, Dyed work of double embroidery on the neck of the spoiler?' "Thus let all your enemies perish, O L-RD; But let those who love Him be like the rising of the sun in its might."And the land was undisturbed for forty years.
This says Sun and means Sun; however, I say let those who love Him be like the rising of the Son, His Son! As all these types are supposed to represent and point to Him!
