1 John 4:8 He that loves not knows not G-d; for G-d is LOVE.
A person consumed with hatred is not of G-d. Those who desire to kill others in the name of their god are not worshipping the true and living G-d “(The G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob). Through out the years there have been those who have claimed to be believers in Yeshua. They call themselves Christians. But they are NOT truly children of G-d because they have done unspeakable things to others in the name of their god.
You will know they are true believers in Yeshua by their LOVE.
1 John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of G-d toward us, because that G-d sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
The fourth letter is “Dalet - door; way. Dalet can also represent the power that transforms us.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I (Yeshua) stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.
Yeshua is knocking on the door of your heart won’t you open you heart and life to Him?
1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved G-d, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation.
Now that is LOVE. We did not deserve it yet He died for our sins.
The death of the righteous, Yeshua, had atoning power. Propitiation means “mercy seat”.
1 John 4:11 Beloved, if G-d so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
Do you really have love for your fellow man?
1 John 4:12 No man has seen G-d at any time. (The Father is Spirit) If we love one another, G-d dwells in us, and His love is perfected in us.
Yet Yeshua said, If you see Him you see the Father. This is not a contradiction. John is saying no man has seen G-d in all His fullness. It is still a mystery.
How do others experience the Love of G-d? One way is through the actions of true believers.
1 John 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
It is not a human love but the love of G-d.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
1 John 4:14 -15 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Whosoever shall confess that (Yeshua) Jesus is the Son of G-d, G-d dwells in him, and he in G-d.
1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that G-d has for us. G-d is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in G-d, and G-d in him.
1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect (complete), that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.
We have no fear of judgment. When the Father looks on us He looks on us through the blood of the lamb (Messiah) that took away the sin of the world. If you stand before Him without this you will be lead to eternal destruction.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.
Only the Love of Messiah makes us complete. Yes, we all, both Jewish and Gentile people are incomplete with out Him.
1 John 4:19 We love Him, because He first loved us.
His love was illustrated to the Father and us by what He did.
1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love G-d, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love G-d whom he hath not seen?
If we hold past hatreds of others and continues to hate others because of the past that man does not really know G-d.
1 John 4:21 And this commandment have we from Him, That he who loves G-d love his brother also.
Eventually we will forgive another because He forgave us.
