2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that (Yeshua HaMashiach) Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. (Anti-Messiah).
Those that deny He came in the flesh have the spirit of the anti-Messiah and are deceivers and deceived.
Those that deny what He said and what He did during His time on earth are anti-messiah.
Also those that deny His death on the execution stake was sufficient for our redemption are anti-messiah.
Some also deny that He physically rose from the dead. This is anti-Messiah.
2 John 1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
We should examine ourselves to see if we are guilty of such things.
Most of our rewards are waiting above.
2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresses (goes to extreme), and abides (remains) not in the doctrine of Christ (Messiah), has not G-d. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ (Anointed), he has both the Father and the Son.
The Gnostics claimed to have knowledge above everyone else and this made them super-saints. They got it … you don’t. Those that act like they are above us don’t really abide in the love of Messiah.
2 John 1:10 If there come any to you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him G-d speed:
We are not to entertain those that “claim to know Yeshua” but are false teachers.
We are not to wish them well in their ministry. Why? Because they teach lies.
2 John 1:11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.
If we give them help or wish them well, G-d says that we are partners with them in their evil deeds.
We should be wise in what we promote, and what and whom we give our time and money to in his name.
2 John 1:12 Having many things to write to you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come to you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full (complete).
Here John is telling her that he hopes to visit with her face to face soon.
2 John 1:13 The children of your elect sister greet thee. Amen.
The local believers here send their best wishes.
