Matthew Chapter 11

The Rejection of the King (Matthew Chapter 11 - 12:24)

Matt 11:1 And it came to pass, when Yeshua (Jesus) had made an end of commanding His twelve disciples (talmidim), He departed to teach and to preach in their cities.

Yeshua had sent out the 12 and was preaching in the cities around the Sea of Galilee.

Matt 11:2-6 Now when John (Yochanan the Immerser) had heard in the prison the works of Christ (Anointed), he sent two of his disciples, And said to Him, Are you He that should come, or do we look for another? Yeshua (Jesus) answered and said to them, Go and show John again those THINGS which you hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the GOOD NEWS preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever will NOT be OFFENDED in ME.

The GOOD News was preached. The GOOD NEWS tells us HOW to get to the kingdom of Heaven or the other world THROUGH Him. Blessed is He who is not offended by Yeshua. Preach Yeshua, Yeshua, Yeshua. Only Trust in Yeshua saves. This is the instruction from the Father.

Crown of a good name.

If we fight against whom the Father sent we are only hurting ourselves. All are given a free will to choose wisely.

This corresponds to the Eleventh letter Kaf - crowning accomplishment.

Matt 11:7-8 As they departed, Yeshua (Jesus) began to say to the multitudes concerning John: "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed, those who wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.

John was not soft and did not wear soft clothes.

Matt 11:9 But what did you go out for to see? A prophet? yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.

He was a prophet and more.

Matt 11:10 For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before your face, which will prepare your way before you.

Malachi 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me: and the L-rd, whom you seek, will suddenly come to this temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom you delight in: behold, he will come, says the L-RD of hosts.

Matt 11:11 Verily I say to you, among them that are born of women there has not risen a greater than John the Immerser (Baptist:) notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Now this is an interesting statement. Why was John greater? It had to do with the time he lived. He actually saw with his own eyes and participated in with his own hands the fulfillment of Prophecy. Those before him only saw in shadowy form.

So why does Yeshua say, “he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he?”

John was still in his imperfect state. In the kingdom we will all be made perfect. Not only in the spiritual but also in our bodies. Our physical bodies have certain limits today. Our glorified bodies will be wonderful above imagination.

We can experience Ruach HaKodesh every day of our lives and we don’t have to worry about it leaving us ever. Heb 6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that ACCOMPANY salvation, though we thus speak.

Works accompany salvation. They are not required for salvation.

If we could lose our salvation and suppose we wanted to come back if possible Yeshua would have to be offered up all over again. This is stated as a hypothetical “IF” in scripture and could not really happen. (Heb. 6:1 -8)

We therefore have no reason to fear to lose our standing of “not guilty”.

Heb 6:10a For G-d is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love,…

labor of love - not a labor for eternal pardon for entrance into the Kingdom.

Heb 6:10b-16 “…which you have showed toward HIS name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of HOPE to the end: That you be not slothful, but followers of them who through FAITH/TRUSTING and patience inherit the promises. For when G-d made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he swore by Himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an END of ALL STRIFE.”

A promise is a promise. A promise from G-d stands. If it does not stand, G-d is a liar. If you say one can lose their eternal salvation you make the promise from G-d a lie.

Heb 6:17-20 Wherein G-d, willing more abundantly to show to the heirs of PROMISE the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was IMPOSSIBLE for G-d to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the HOPE set before us: Which HOPE we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Yeshua (Jesus), made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Matt 11:12 And from the days of John the Immerser until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

Those of the Kingdom would suffer violence. The violent try to take the kingdom by force or another way. We cannot take it by force or by ourselves.
