Romans Chapter 3

Romans 3:1-2 What advantage then has the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that to them were committed the oracles of G-d.

So what advantage does a Jewish person have?

He was given the Oracles of G-d.

The Jewish people were given this responsibility.

Is He done with Israel? I hope not, because if He is then we are all in trouble. G-d's word would be no good. If He were done with Israel that would make Him a liar and His word would be useless. We could not trust any of His promises, including eternal salvation.

What profit is circumcision? Circumcision was a badge of the Mosaic Law.

I ask a different question. What profit is going to church? What profit is immersion?

Nothing when it comes to salvation. A lost sinner is asked to believe on Yeshua and he will be saved. After this then G-d will talk to you about going to worship or being immersed (baptized). It still does not help with eternal salvation.

Romans 3:3-8 For what if some did not believe? will their unbelief make the faith of G-d without effect? G-d forbid: yea, let G-d be true, but every man a LIAR; as it is written, That You might be justified in your sayings, and might overcome when you are judged. But if our unrighteousness commends the righteousness of G-d, what will we say? Is G-d unrighteous who takes vengeance? (I speak as a man) G-d forbid: for then how will G-d judge the world? For if the truth of G-d has more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a SINNER? And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? Whose damnation is just.

G-d speaks truthfully of His faithfulness.

Tehillim (Psalms) 116:11 I said in my haste, All men are LIARS. (KJV)

Tehillim (Psalms) 51:4-5 Against you, you only, have I sinned, and done this evil in your sight: that you might be justified when you speak, and be clear when you judge. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in SIN did my mother conceive me.

When you claim you don't believe G-d gave His Son to die for us you make him a liar.

1 John 5:10 The one who believes in the Son of G-d has the witness in himself; the one who does not believe G-d has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the witness that G-d has borne concerning His Son.

G-d judges truthfully in His truthfulness.

Romans 1:17 For in it the righteousness of G-d is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "But the righteous man shall live by faith."

Romans 10:3 For not knowing about God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

We should not use G-d's mercy as some claim, "as an excuse to sin".

There are those who do not care about the spirit of the law and use His grace (mercy) as an excuse to do whatever they want. They are not fooling anyone. We know who they are. However, those of us still on earth will not be perfect until He takes away sin. We are still slaves of righteousness to Messiah and He wants us to please Him and love others. We only hurt G-d when we do things that we know to be wrong or continue in sin. That is not pleasing to Him.

Some actually slanderously claim that Paul says, "We should sin more that good may come out of it." Paul expected this and said right back to them "Their condemnation is just.

To say that Paul said we are to sin so mercy can abound is an absurd argument because Paul is the one who said G-d must judge sin. Paul then says none are any better than others when it comes to needing salvation. We have all been charged in court and found guilty.

The law (instruction) declares G-d's righteousness alone for 3:9 states none are righteous, no not one; (G-d's righteousness is then imputed to us through mercy for Salvation.)

But we can take it or leave it. It is up to us. G-d does not force us.

Romans 3:9-12 What then? Are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after G-d. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, no, not one.

The charges are declared against all of us Jew or Gentile in Romans 3:11-20.
